Birthdays, Boise, Bunnies, Bikes and the ER

Above: Ryan's mom, Ginger. Her b-day is also coming up. Below: Ryan being sang to at El' Gallo Giro's.

Above: Lana, Rich, Ginger and Mike at Ryan/Ginger B-day Bash. Below: Ben, the most smiley, happy boy I've ever met! I told him to smile and he did this!

Above: Brandon and Jen with 1 wk. old Janey. Below: Ryan's sis Wendi, her hub Cory and my almost 30 yr old man.

Above: Aezlyn and Oaklie had a tea party one day, and they were decked out in the princess wear. Below: Hadlee Jammin to some tunes while she eats her mac and cheese. I think if I had to sum up Hadlee in a picture it would be this one. Eatin some mac', wearing a dress, wild hair, and listenin' to music, oh and can't forget Hadlee's smile. (This is how she smiles when I tell her to smile!)
Below: Can my eyes get any BIGGER?

Below: Our sweet van. If we ever become homeless, we can always take up residence in "Big Blue"

Above: You can't see it really well, but Hadlee covered herself and Aezlyn with stickers!
Below: Finally getting warm enough to go outside.

Above: I attempted to curl Hadlee's hair. I'm getting better, I'm even teaching myself how to french braid. Below: One of Aezlyn's early cereal attempts.

As usual, we've been pretty busy since our last post. We're excited for spring and warm weather. March went by pretty fast. Ryan got a road bike so he can be ready for his mancation in August. Him and his buddies are biking from Seaside, OR to San Fransisco in August. I'm so jealous. My "you owe me" is going to be huge, that's all I can say about that!
We signed up for a half marathon during Easter weekend in Boise, so we were "training" all of March, though I can't say that I was as prepared as I should have. Ryan finished up his EMT class (hallelujah!) and will take his test this Friday. It wasn't too bad, he was gone Tues/Thursday evenings, so we spent a lot of time at my parents.

For Easter Weekend, we left for Boise on Wednesday. We met up with Ryan's sis Wendi, at Burley and surprised Mike and Ginger by arriving a day early. Thursday was errand day. Thurs night we watched "Clash of the Titans" in 3D. Our opinion: don't waste your money, especially for the 3D. Friday, we hung out, went to see a kid movie with all the family, and went to El' Gallo Giro's for Ryan/Ginger's birthday bash. It was a lot of fun, especially without all of the kids. All of Ryan's siblings and parents were there.

Ryan got some much needed white shirts, a mp3 player, a shirt, candy basket, unmentionable (thanks Wendi!) and more candy. Ryan's family is so good at putting on a party, there's never a dull moment!
Saturday: Big Day.. We had our 1st race of the year. It was a dousy, probably the most difficult race I've ever done (but probably because I wasn't as prepared, and it was a nasty course) I stayed ahead of Ryan for the first 12 miles, but he passed me up and (I hate saying this) he beat me by 1 minute. Ryan did awesome, especially for his first race since grade school! Me, I did alright, but my legs were so dead by the last mile, I couldn't even sprint the last bit. Anyway, it was fun, and I think I'd do it next year again.

After the race, we made a quick trip to Jack in the Box for some fatty foods, cleaned up at Lana's, and headed to the Easter party. All of the Summers' extended family met at a church and we had a fun easter egg hunt, games, and treats. It's always nice to see his family, and the updates.
After that party, we went to Ginger/Mike's for more food, fun and craziness.

Sunday: Easter! The easter bunny left a trail of jelly beans for hadlee to her basket. Hadlee loved her barbies, clothes and movies, and Aezlyn got some clothes. The easter bunny must love our girls, because they were especially spoiled! After that, we had more good food, and some yummy strawberry pie! (a Ryan Birthday standard) Then the sad goodbyes came. We had to go home.
Since then we had an ER visit for Hadlee, she didn't go piddle for like 12 hours, and couldn't go. She had a very distended and hard lower abdomen. We went to the ER, where they cathed her. She felt better instantly. The big worry was WHY? and what caused the urinary retention. We still don't know what caused it (maybe sitting in the car too long on the way home from Boise), but she hasn't had any problems since.

Aezlyn is doing really well. I took her in for a check up and she weighed 16 lbs. (70th ? percentile) She is so cute, and is finally beginning to laugh. We just love her so much. She's good to do whatever we're doing, she's gone to movies, shopping, in a car for 4 hours. Can't get better girls than the ones we've got!!
